He is particularly enthusiastic about grooming and nurturing young Nigerian youth who become change agents. As a youth, he passionate about leaving the legacy of a positive change. He is very passionate about the education and skill enhancement of the Nigerian youth.
An engineering graduate with a master’s in management, he has a successful career working with various Nigerian companies including Benin Electricity Distribution Company, Diamond Bank PLC, Toscana Investment Company Limited, etc. He is also on board of several companies including Tyro Greens Investment, Raygen Automobiles Ltd, Tyro Marketing Company, etc, and a trustee of Aroms Agricultural Foundation
Arun Goswami, (Director)
Arun is passionate about reviving manufacturing in Africa using local raw material and indigenous talent. He believes in the immense potential of Africa and Africans. He strongly believes that enterprise is the only way out of poverty and a better life. Arun is the founder of Metssa group, which has an interest in Steel, Lead, Aluminium, Industrial fasteners, and Rice flour. Metssa has a presence in Nigeria as EML, Congo, India, and Vietnam.
He came to Nigeria in 1995 to work for Olam International, where he handled various products like Rice, Sugar, and Timber. After a 4-year stint in Olam, he started his commodity export business in Nigeria in 1999. From Trading, he transitioned to manufacturing, where he set up steel plants and nonferrous plants in Nigeria, Cameroon, and Congo. He is a graduate in Agriculture and a Postgraduate in Rural Management.
He strongly believes that the success of an enterprise lies in the level of skill of the individuals working in them. He is passionate about creating sustainable enterprises and assisting them grow by harmonizing their strategy with the right processes and skilled human resources.
Has over 25 years of experience where he has worked in the retail, Oil & Gas sector and last 17 years as head of management consulting firm which has been operational in India, Middle East, East Africa, and West Africa. The last 17 years have given him exposure across industries including Learning, Manufacturing, Service, Retail, IT, Hospitality, and Security. Strongly believes in the use of technology as an enabler and harnessing its power to create a more informed marketplace.
